Al Amir Es Sayyed Jamal eid dinne Abdallah Tanukhie father died when he was young, and he was raised by his mother.  He was distinguished by his politeness, piety and his love of knowledge.  He used to search for knowledge in all his dealings and he worshipped God.  When he was young, he was religious and he was like a Sheikh.  He had memorized the Koran and imposed on himself to read the Koran for a designated number of hours daily. would set a goal for himself that he had to read daily from the Koran and he would not stop until he had reached the goal.  Al Amir Es Sayyed Jamal eid dinne Abdallah Tanukhie studied the books of grammar, logic, philosophy, and theology, as well as, the scriptures of Safa brothers, a group of philosophers.  He read biography, history, and poetry.  He became involved in astrology and medicine, and every other subject he could find.

Al Amir Es Sayyed Jamal eid dinne Abdallah Tanukhie was humble with all his students and enrolled them in all his dealings. He was inspired by spiritual values.  He proclaim that the Books of Wisdom should be read by those who could understand the teachings and who were worthy of this knowledge.  He blessed those who visited him to ask for knowledge.

The time came when he realized that he must have a mate, and he chose Aiyshah for her humbleness and modesty. She was his relative, and she was worthy of being his mate.  They had four children, and they lost three of their children at a young age.  The fourth child, Abdel Khalik, lived to manhood and at the age of eighteen, he was killed on his wedding day.  A horse kicked and killed him just before the marriage ceremony. 

Abdel Khalik studied in Damascus, Syria.  Hr had high mental capabilities.  He was a moral person with great social and political intelligence. Extremely religious, Abdel Khalik's father, Al Amir Es Sayyed Jamal eid dinne Abdallah Tanukhie, depended on him.  Abdel Khalik was a model example among his peers in his generation.

Abey, Lebanon became a pilgrimage to the shrine of Al Amir Es Sayyed Jamal eid dinne Abdallah Tanukhie. He was known for justice, piety, godliness, and spirituality.  His students were the ideals of his teachings.  They had met with him weekly, and he prepared each one to lead the people of his village when he returned from Abey.  Their role was to teach the verses and the warnings.  He recognized these superior students to be the mentor, as well as, the preacher to those in the village and help them to from being despots and wicked people.  He dispelled those who erred, and he isolated them from the teachings of the Faith.  The sinner could only be alone remain in his home for he was ashamed of having been dismissed from the place of the teachings. Al Amir Es Sayyed Jamal eid dinne Abdallah Tanukhie ordered buildings for prayer be made available in the village to teach the young.  He sustained the orphans in their food and shelter all the while he was alive.  Also, he forbid alcohol and called for prohibition of all spirits. Al Amir Es Sayyed Jamal eid dinne Abdallah Tanukhie unpretentiousness and humbleness and asked the people to give their savings to the orphans and the poor.  He required cleanliness among the people, and he asked them to refrain from gluttony and voracity.  He also asked the people to give generously to the poor and dignify the people with a generous contribution. 

Al Amir Es Sayyed Jamal eid dinne Abdallah Tanukhie was a revolutionary, assuring the good and righteous people that they should protect the basis of the Faith.  He was determined in his judgement. People from all sects, at home and abroad came to him for advice and justice.  After his disappointment with a man of great prominence, he castigated him severely.  The prominent leader said that Al Amir Es Sayyed Jamal eid dinne Abdallah Tanukhie's reprimand was the greatest calamity he had ever experienced in his lifetime.  He glorified God for giving Al Amir Es Sayyed Jamal eid dinne Abdallah Tanukhie this authority.

The greatness of Al Amir Es Sayyed Jamal eid dinne Abdallah Tanukhie was the cause of a conspiracy among the other sheikhs in the provence, so he was obliged to leave Abey, Lebanon and travel to Damascus, Syria which was a great place for the search of knowledge.  He was greatly welcomed by the scholars and the worshippers.  He debated with the theologians and the literary men developing among them and the Hussani family (prominent family in Damascus) a strong relationship. He remained in Damascus for twelve years, however, he remained in constant touch with the religious people in Lebanon always reminding them to revere God and fulfil His commandments.  He reminded them that there would be a judgement day.  The sheikhs read his letters and realizing they had been unjust and asked him to return to his village, Abey, Lebanon.  When he returned to Abey, he appointed an assistant so that he could devote his time to the Druze Faith.  He would write books and clarify the Druze Commandments.

We have mention the death of Al Amir Es Sayyed Jamal eid dinne Abdallah Tanukhie' son, Abdel Khalik, on Abdel Khalik's wedding day.  Al Amir Es Sayyed Jamal eid dinne Abdallah Tanukhie accepted his fate, and he reminded people that "Creation is the hostage of the hour."  He preached to the people the justness of his fate and he proclaimed to the people that none was capable of surpassing death.  He said that Blessed was the one who accepted death and praised God.  He told the people about the high qualities of his son and said that acceptance is the lighthouse of the sublime and exalted people.  When Al Amir Es Sayyed Jamal eid dinne Abdallah Tanukhie felt his end was near, he proclaimed his land was to be for the poor.  He prepared himself to meet his Master. In Abey, a Shrine was constructed for him where people visit to be blessed.

His library, which is also in Abey, Lebanon, contained 340 volumes in different subjects.  He is said to have fourteen qualities as the Prophets.

His life was divided into three parts, and he divided his day accordingly.  One part was to gain and teach knowledge, to sleep, and one for prayer and repentance.  His publications were many. Some are still unpublished.  He made numerous contributions to his Faith, especially by explaining the Faith as he read the Books of Wisdom.

Al Amir Es Sayyed Jamal eid dinne Abdallah Tanukhie is our Master, the Prince, and the example for his knowledge has enlightened the Druze people.
